Welcome to the site for the Gamma Rho Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., serving Gary, In. and the broader Northwest Indiana community since our chartering in 1947. Our mission is to be the beacon of light in the community through the execution of Alpha Phi Alpha’s national initiatives, engagement in the community, and being the model of leadership for young males to help them define their path in life. We are also committed to building and uplifting the brotherhood so that we can effectively live up to our responsibilities of being great Alpha Men. This year we celebrate 77 years of service and we look forward to many more years of being at the forefront of service in the region.
